  • Terms and Conditions

    The legal bit
  • Please take your time to read our Terms and Conditions if running for Whizz Kidz.

By applying for charity place with Whizz Kidz in the 2026 TCS London Marathon, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

    • If you are formally offered a charity place for Whizz Kidz, you will need to pay a registration fee of £100, which is non-refundable and non-transferrable within 7 days, which cannot be used towards your minimum fundraising target. If you have not paid within 7 days, we will assume you no longer want a charity place with Whizz Kidz and you may need to reapply.

    • You agree this is a fundraising event and pledge to raise a minimum fundraising target of £2,100, excluding Gift Aid, paid no later than 26th May 2026. You can only use your charity place to fundraise for Whizz Kidz. London Marathon charity places come at a financial cost to Whizz Kidz and therefore failure to raise this minimum for the charity will be at Whizz Kidz financial loss.

    • You must only use lawful means to fundraise for Whizz Kidz and must not do anything which harms, or is likely to harm, the charity’s brand or reputation, or act against our zero tolerance and/or gift accepting policies (please ask our events team for a copy).

    • You agree that Whizz Kidz has the right to withdraw your charity place from the London Marathon 2026 event at any time if you are not deemed committed to raising the minimum fundraising target of £2,100.

    • You are required to fundraise a minimum of £500 by Friday 2nd January 2026 or you will risk losing your charity place with Whizz Kidz.

    • If you are fundraising as part of a team, each participant is responsible for meeting their individual minimum fundraising amount and you will communicate with Whizz Kidz of any changes within the group as soon as possible.

    • If you are successful in securing a charity place with Whizz Kidz, we have legitimate interest to contact you in relation to the London Marathon 2026, to share information about the charity, logistics and administration throughout your marathon journey with us.

    • Whizz Kidz has the right to use your fundraising where the need is greatest, to ensure we are able to continue delivering mobility equipment and services to the many young wheelchair users that rely upon us for support.

    • If the London Marathon is postponed or cancelled for any reason, either by London Marathon Events or on the advice or instruction of the UK Government, we will adhere to any guidance set out by either party. We are committed to keep runners informed and updated throughout their marathon journey.

    • You agree that by joining Team Whizz Kidz, you consent to the charity using photographs and videos in our promotional materials for publicising future events and the work of the charity.

    • It is your responsibility to ensure that you are fit enough to participate in a marathon and we encourage you inform the London Marathon Events of any pre-existing medical conditions that may affect your participation. If you are unsure about this in any way, you should seek medical advice and we take no responsibility.

    • On race day, if you start the run but are unable to finish, this counts as using your Whizz Kidz charity place for that marathon year. If you would like to run in a subsquent year to complete your marathon, you will be required to formally reapply to receive another place.

    • You must be 18 years or over on the day of the race, 26th April 2026.

    Deferral Policy
    • If you are unable to commit to your charity place, due to injury or sickness, and would like to defer your place, please contact us as soon as possible.

    • You can only defer your charity place if you have raised a minimum of £500 or you will need to formally reapply for a charity place.

    • You agree to repay your £100 registration fee for the next marathon year.

    • You can only defer your charity place for one London Marathon season or you will need to formally reapply for a charity place.

If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact the events team on events@whizz-kidz.org.uk.
