Terms and Conditions
By registering for a guaranteed charity place with Whizz Kidz in this event, you are agreeing to the below terms and conditions.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you are fit enough to participate in this event. If you are unsure about this in any way, you should seek medical advice. Please refer to the event organisers T&C's to determine if you need to declare any pre-existing medical conditions.
- When you sign up to an event with Whizz Kidz you will need to pay a registration fee, which is non-refundable and non-transferable; it cannot be used towards your sponsorship pledge.
- You acknowledge that by completing this form alone, you are not fully signed up to the event and that you will be required to complete a further form from the event organisers by their stated deadline in order to take part on the day, ensuring you follow their T&Cs.
- You acknowledge this is a fundraising event and pledge to raise the minimum sponsorship as stated, excluding Gift Aid, no later than one month after the day of the event.
- Your place can only be used to fundraise for Whizz Kidz and by accepting a Whizz Kidz charity place, you understand that we have the right to withdraw your place at any time including if you are not actively fundraising and committed to raising the pledged minimum sponsorship.
- For those taking on a third-party event, excluding the Berlin Marathon, you will be able to receive your free Whizz Kidz running vest, t-shirt or cycling jersey once you raise £100.
- For those taking part in the Berlin Marathon, you will be able to receive your free Whizz Kidz running vest or t-shirt once you raise £500.
- The money raised through your participation in this event is unrestricted, meaning that Whizz Kidz can use it at a time and in a way that we deem best suited, to ensure we are able to continue delivering mobility equipment and services to the many young wheelchair users that rely upon us for support.
- You are aware and acknowledge that this event is not in any way organised or managed by Whizz Kidz. Please refer to the event organisers if the event is cancelled or postponed in all circumstances
- You must only use lawful means to fundraise for the charity and must not do anything which harms or is likely to harm the charity’s brand or reputation.
- You acknowledge that if fundraising in a group that each participant is responsible for meeting their minimum sponsorship target
- You acknowledge that charity places in events a cost to Whizz Kidz and therefore failure to raise any money for the charity will be at the charity’s loss.
- You acknowledge that you will be contacted by mail, phone, SMS and post in relation to the event to ensure Whizz Kidz can deliver the necessary administration and communication required to enable your successful participation in the event.
- All personal information you provide will be treated confidentially and will only be used in the capacity stated.
- You acknowledge that by joining Team Whizz Kidz, you consent to the charity using photographs and video footage of you from any training days and race day in our promotional materials for publicising future events and the work of the charity, examples could include our web site and social media channels.
